SINGAPORE – 28 April 2021 – Canopius Group, a leading global specialty (re)insurer, today announces the appointments of Glen Lua as Accident & Health Underwriter, APAC, and Rhys Purchase as Property Underwriter, APAC, effective immediately.
Both will be based in Singapore and report to Yann Marmonier Head of Insurance, APAC & MENA.
Lua joins from Allied World Assurance Company, where, since 2016 he led the A&H underwriting team as Assistant Vice President, Asia-Pacific, A&H Division. Previously he worked for the Federal Insurance Company as Senior Business Underwriter, and before that held managerial roles at ACE Insurance Ltd and AXA Insurance in Singapore.
Purchase will join Canopius’ property team, prior to which he worked for the Beazley Group since 2015. Most recently he was a D&F commercial property underwriter in Singapore and formerly worked for Beazley in London and Atlanta.
