Following Canopius’s successful and transformational year, AM Best announced that it has affirmed the Financial Strength Ratings of A- (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Ratings of ‘A-‘ of Canopius US Insurance, Inc. and Canopius Reinsurance Limited.
In its announcement AM Best noted Canopius’s strategic partnership with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and the completed merger of the AmTrust at Lloyd’s business. AM Best stated that the stable outlook ratings reflect Canopius’s strong balance sheet, as well as its adequate operating performance, neutral business profile, and appropriate enterprise risk management.
