CANOPIUS APPOINTS JEREMY CHAPPELL TO LEAD EQUINE & LIVESTOCK

LONDON – 24 January 2024 – Canopius Group, a leading global specialty (re)insurer, today announces the appointment of Jeremy Chappell as Head of Equine. He takes up his role with immediate effect.

Jeremy brings over 15 years of underwriting experience in the equine and livestock market. He joins from Liberty Speciality Markets, where he served as Senior Underwriting Manager for six years. Prior to this, he acted as Equine Underwriter at Markel International.

Jeremy’s appointment is a key step in the firm’s expansion into the specialist equine and livestock sector. Canopius launched its equine and livestock business last year, with the six strong underwriting team offering bespoke policy wordings for a diverse range of risks from equine employers and public liability to mortality, infertility, theft and surgery costs.
