LONDON – 07 February 2024 – Canopius Group, a leading global specialty (re)insurer, today announces the appointment of Valentina Minetti as Head of Medical Professional Liability (MPL). She takes up the role with immediate effect.
Valentina brings nearly three decades of healthcare lines and actuarial experience to her new role. She joins from Coverys Syndicate 1975, where she served as Active Underwriter. Prior to this, she led Beazley’s US hospitals portfolio. She began her career as an actuary, first at RSA and later at GE Financial and Groupama. Valentina holds a master’s degree in mathematics and is an affiliate member of the Institute of Actuaries.
Valentina’s appointment accelerates the growth of Canopius’ new medical professional liability division, following the appointments of Ashley Moulton as Healthcare Underwriter and Alex Tindall as Underwriting Analyst to the team last year.
